Get to Know Aria

“Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food” -Hippocrates

Hey, welcome to Get Nourished with Aria, I’m so happy you’re here! I’m Aria and I live in a small town in New Jersey with my husband and three kids. When my son developed severe eczema as a baby, holistic nutrition gave me the answers I couldn’t find from conventional medicine. This awakened a passion in me and helped me with my own health struggles a few years later. Today, I’m a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and my mission is helping moms like you overcome chronic fatigue, stress, cravings, and poor digestive health. Gaining back energy to do all the things you love is possible and I can’t wait to empower you to take back your health! I’d love to show you how to nourish your body so that you can begin your journey to feeling your best.

I had to learn the hard way that the symptoms I faced weren’t normal.

I was tired (more like exhausted) , stressed out – every little thing set me off, I had trouble falling asleep and struggled with digestive issues just to name a few. At the time, it never occurred to me that needing that 3PM cup of coffee daily to get through the rest of my work day wasn’t normal – not to mention it was wrecking my sleep, continuing the endless cycle of exhaustion. I relied on sugary snacks while I was waiting for the coffee to kick in, for an extra boost. It was also to my shock and surprise when I learned that if you’re not going to the bathroom everyday, not only are you constipated, but you’re in need of some serious digestive support.

As a mom in my early 30’s I thought these symptoms were just a part of aging, they came with the package of being a busy mom and wife headed towards mid-life, right?

While these are all super common symptoms many moms face, they shouldn’t be accepted as normal.

You may be suffering with your own uncomfortable symptoms. This is your body's way of signaling that something is out of balance. That balance can be restored through a personalized approach to nutrition, and an adjustment of lifestyle habits. When we work together we’ll dive deep into the imbalances and possible root cause of your symptoms and we’ll come up with a plan to get you closer to reaching your health goals.

You have the power to make a positive change in the way you feel, all you need are the tools to take you there.

When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid condition called Hashimotos in 2017 that was my wake up call. I knew I had to make changes and do some detective work to understand what was going on. My endocrinologist told me that I couldn’t heal my illness, but I knew deep down that wasn’t true. Don’t settle for believing that you’re destined for poor health due to genetics. You deserve better than that.

By working with me, you’ll learn how the power of a nutrient dense diet along with mindset and lifestyle shifts can help you achieve sustainable health goals.

Holistic nutrition has been a passion of mine since healing my sons chronic childhood eczema through food. Discovering the root cause to the issues he was having with his skin was truly eye opening. After this revelation I knew that this holistic approach to health could be helpful to so many others looking for relief. I wanted to help empower others with the knowledge to be able to take back control over their health.

While experience is one of the best teachers, I wanted a science-based education to reinforce and add to what I had already learned. I choose to receive my certification with the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) to become trained as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP). I resinated deeply with their bio-individual approach to nutrition and healing and their emphasis on what they call the foundations of health; a properly prepared nutrient dense diet, digestion, fatty acids, blood sugar balance, hydration, and mineral balance.
